Today we have had a special assembly from Christine from St Luke’s Church. The assembly was all about Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s 90th birthday.
Over half term, the children have been working really hard on their competition entries. The competition was to create something to celebrate our Queen, and we had a huge range of entries, from models and sculptures, to cards and poems, to detailed pictures (both drawn and digital).
The winners (chosen by Christine) are as follows:
- Vishnu (Reception 2)
- Michal (Year 2B)
- (Year 4L)
- Matthew (Year 5)
Each winner won a £10 Sainsbury’s giftcard, kindly donated by the St Luke’s Community Charity Shop (‘Sewing The Seed’ on Chorley Old Road).
However, we were slightly sad as this assembly was Christine’s last assembly with us, as she moves onto a new parish. We are very grateful to Christine for all the time she has spent with us Oxford Grove over the last three years and we wish her well for the future.
Our winning entries:
Wow some amazing artistic winning entries.
