Today our School Council delivered an assembly all about anti-bullying. They talked to us about the definition of bullying and what this might look like in real life. They explained the difference between bullying and falling out with our friends. We know that bullying means several times on purpose – when somebody is trying to upset you and it happens more than a few times.
Then they talked about what we need to do if we have any problems at all in school and especially if we think we, or someone we know, is being bullied. We know how important it is to speak to adults in school straight away so we can keep Oxford Grove a happy place to be.
Today, we had an anti-bullying assembly. They talked to us about the meaning of bullying and what bullying might look like in real life. They also explained the difference in falling out with friends and actual bullying. Everyone knows that bullying means several times on purpose. They said that if we had any problems then we should talk to someone about them. Or if we do not want to tell anyone then we have worry boxes in every classroom and we could just write our worry on paper and our teacher will check the boxes every week.
Today, we all learnt about anti-bullying at our school. According to our school, STOP stands for Several Times On Purpose. Because of this, we know what bullying actually is. If someone makes fun of you for only one day, that is not known as bullying. If they keep doing it over and over and over again, that is known as bullying. But we know that bullying is not allowed in our school or else we will get into a lot of trouble. This assembly reached me that to not bully or make fun of anyone or we will get into a lot of trouble.
Our brilliant school council told us all about bullying this morning. We all learned that if your being bullied you shouldn’t hide away or keep it to yourself because then you might be stressed or overwhelmed because your keeping yourself bottled up and not telling anyone. We also learned when someone upsets you more than once you should still tell someone even if they threaten you to not you should.
We have learnt about antibullying . They talked to us about problems and more! We all know bullying is several times on purpose.they even told us about when we are upset we should tell a trusted adult we should ask our friends or siblings to sort it out

This was a really important assessmbly because we were talking about anti bullying and how it can hurt our feelings. STOP is our moto in school which shows bullying it is several times on purpose!

Then they talk about how amazzing it is the oxford grove is a bull free zone.

Our amazing school council also talked to us about if the bullying makes us upset we should tell a trusted adult ( a friend, a parent, a sibling, a teacher or mabye ever a grandparent).
We learnt about anti bullying. We learnt how to handle bullying and how awful it is.

Auntie bullying is really bad and yeah, I really enjoyed it. This is all I have to say. Well done to all of the school councils that did this assembly they are brave and not shy. They talked about what they could do if they have any problems in this school. Taught us what the meaning of bullying is.
