Bolton Hospice

Today we have had a very special assembly led by Emma from Bolton Hospice, who are one of our School Council chosen charities for this year. We learned all about how Bolton Hospice support people who are poorly and need help.

Emma said: “Thank you so much for allowing me to present to the students and your team today. The students are delightful and what a beautiful school.”

We were so proud to be able to present Bolton Hospice with the money that we raised from our non-uniform day – £501! Well done and thank you to everyone who contributed.

This morning we had a very exciting assembly. A visitor from Bolton Hospice ( the charity we raised money for) came to visit us to thank us for raising the money and also to tell us about that charity . She told us about how grateful people in Bolton Hospice were. As well as that she told us how this charity works. After that she told about the reviews of their charity with people saying how the food was amazing and the staff and nurses were so kind. Then she told us how they needed 5 million pounds to keep their charity going every year. They were very grateful for our donations but our school loves helping people out. To help with these donations at our school we did non- uniform day and raised £501! After this she told us about the fun and different ways they can earn the money to keep their charity going. There were lots of fun ideas like people jumping out of a plane! I just want to say thank you so much Bolton Hospice for coming to visit us and I hope you raise your 5 million pounds because your charity is amazing!
