Over the past two days, year 6 have been on their end of year trip to the Anderson Centre where they took part in lots of outdoor activities. On day one, we started with archery and tree climbing. Many of the children were so brave climbing all the way to the top of the tree touching the white cone. In archery, we learnt how to hold the bow and place the arrow. As we practised more, we got better at hitting the target. I’m the afternoon, we went out on the reservoir paddle boarding on the XL boards. The children had to move the board across the water to get to the middle. Once we arrived, we played some games like bingo where you had to put a body part in the water which made a lot of them fall in.
On day two, we started off with low ropes where we had to navigate round the course working as a team in areas. Our teamwork skills didn’t stop there as we then took part in orienteering using maps of the centre to navigate around and find the different OS symbols. During the afternoon, it was time to go out on the water again but this time, we were kayaking.
When it is the end of year 6 they go on an amazing (free) trip trust me my brother told me it is the best trip when you are in year 6.
Well done year 6 for all the hard work you’ve done from nursery to year 6, you deserve this for all the amazing hard work you’ve done in all of your school years!
Hi! I am Aroush, one of the leavers. I wanted to say that I had a great time at Oxford Grove and that I will remember the kindness the teachers and all the staff gave us. I would like to say thank you to all my teachers for everything. They thought me lots of thing/methods that are now helpful to me in Secondary school to solve my problems (eg. Maths problem, someone being rude etc, what to do when you don’t understand something/think something is hard etc). Also thank you to Miss Harvey for giving us the opportunity to enjoy this privilege. I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE! Thank you☺️.

Today our amazing year sixs got the best goodbye as they got to go on the amazing end of year trip. Every year six in our school gets to go on the end of year trip when they finish in july. I’m sure that we all miss them very much and hope that they have the best time in secondary school. Have the best tims year 7s we will all miss you!
