We have entered the number heroes competition where we had to draw ourselves in our chosen career and explain what impact numbers will have on our job!

I would buy the family ticket, the takeaway pizza and burger, juice, fizzy drinks, ice creams, a meal in the restaurants, a picnic, travel by train, lean to fly, have a photo taken in a famous costume, and go on a steam ride. He would STILL have some money if he did ALL of these things.
I enjoy learning new things and learning from my mistakes, some new things that I have learnt many things from long division to the mean. They could get the family ticket for £150 and they will be left with £120 with that money they could get the pack a picnic to take for £12 for everyone so then your left with £ 108. Then for transportation that should hire a car for £50 they are then left with £58. They can then get a souvenir guidebook with pictures for £4.80 then your left with £53.20. They could also go on a steam train ride for £3 each leading to £12 being spent which leaves us with £41.20 and I would say that is enough spending and a lot of fun for the family.
This year I have learnt fractions,Long multiplication, mixed fractions, Roman numerals, areas , subtractions and addition.
I enjoyed learning new things in maths and I like knowing the answer to new questions because I always feel proud. I think that the adult might not have enough money because the adult only has £270 and I think if the adult buys too much thing then he will be in debt
In Maths, I enjoy doing Long Division because it feels good to work it out and I can do addition in my head when I see it in front of me. They could all buy 2 slices of pizza and 1 burger each. They could also buy some tickets with £41 left over. He could save some money buy not buying any souvenirs.
He should do family ticket 1 adult 3 children for 150 pound they should travel by bus because 4×12 is 48 pound and a car is 50 pound and train is 97 pound get ice cream and take a photo in a famous outfit with is 12.90 so they’ll have £20 left

The thing I enjoy about maths is that we do challenges but even though I get some wrong I still try again but if I get 3rd try wrong the teacher would show us how to do it!
This year I have learnt how to do algebra, for example 5-x= 3, to solve it you have to take 5 away from 3 and you will get your answer will be 2. To solve this question above you can buy the family ticket, buy the juice and the take away burger, for the travel you can use the bus so this is how to save the most money!
In maths I enjoy doing reasoning as it really makes me use all of my brain. In maths I have learnt many things and improved on problems I struggled with. One new thing I learnt in maths is long division. Something I improved on is fractions. In my opinion the Robinsons should get the family ticket because to get 1 adult ticket and 3 children tickets would cost £171. Then they should use the bus because it would cost £36. Then total would be £207. For the food they should get a pizza to share ( the total would be £215.50). They would save £55.50. Letting them buy some souvenirs or they can do extra stuff.
Something I enjoy about maths is learning about BODMAS, algebra and the area as they will help me in the future. For example the area can help me figure out how much space the living room has once I buy a new sofa. My dream job is to become an entrepreneur which includes numbers for example entrepreneurs use their own funds, loans, or investment to start and operate a business with the aim of generating profit or income which I dream to become one day. This year I have learned about algebra, the mean, diameter, radius and ratio which are all life important things. The Robison family could get the family ticket which is £150 and they’ll have £120 left and with that they could get the pack a picnic to take for £12 for everyone so then they are left with £108. Then for transportation they can buy a car for rent for £50 so then they are left with £58. They can then can get a souvenir guidebook with pictures for £4.80 then your left with £53.20. They could also go on a steam train just for £3 in total it will be £12 then finally leaves the family will have £4.20
For the tickets the cost would be £150 which leaves Mr Robinson and his children £120 so far, for food would be 22.50 for all of the family which leaves then with £97.50, choice of transportation would be a car £50 which leaves them with £47.50 for, extras £14 which leave then which £33.50 so far, souvenirs a picture would be 4.80 Mr Robinson spend £241.30 which leave him with £28.70.

We have been given the opportunity to enter a competition called number heroes. In this competition we need to draw a picture of what we want to be when we grow up. We draw how numbers and maths is linked to the job . I want to be a teacher and maths is linked in many. Such as by helping a student with a math problem or even planning lessons and many more!I enjoy maths because I get to challenge myself and learn new skills I can use in my daily life. This year I have learnt long division, the mean and algebra as well as expanding my knowledge on skills I already know. To solve the above problem I would:
Tickets: Buy the family ticket for 1 adult and 3 children for £150. This is the cheapest and better option.
Food: Buy a meal in a restaurant for £12 per person in total spending £48. This is the best option because it is one of the cheaper options because if they bought individual items it would cost more.
Travel: Buy the car with £50 fee for petrol. It would be a better option than the other two as it would be easier to get round because they wouldn’t have to wait for the bus or train. Despite the bus being cheaper by £2 a car is more convenient.
Extras: Go on a steam train ride for £3 per person. This is the best option because it is cheap and they would enjoy it. Total cost being £12.
Souvenirs: Souvenir guide with pictures for £4.80. This is the best option as it is one of the cheaper options and the children would enjoy having it.
The total cost would come out to around £265 resulting in £5 being saved. Mr Robinson would chose the cheap and fun activities during the experience.
In math I enjoy learning new thing that i never seen before and didn’t know how to solve it so when i understand it I can help other people who don’t understand it. This year we have learnt basic algebra but was still a bit tricky. The answer the the problem is: they spent £243.20 and they have £26.80 left
In maths I enjoy looking at 3d shapes , solving word problems and looking at line graphs .This year in maths we have learnt about long multiplication, line graphs and translations.
Today is a very special day for The Oxford Grove Family Community, As it is National Numeracy Day! Did you know we also have an amazing competition? In the Number Heroes Competition we had to draw ourselves and explain what impact numbers we’ll have in our dream future jobs. Maths is one of the best subjects to learn in Oxford Grove as you can become a mathematical expert in maths in the future. What I enjoyed in Maths is RRR as if you get something wrong you will always have a second chance and get better! This year in Year 5 we learned a lot of new things about maths such as Long Multiplication And Long Division and even Prime Numbers!

We have entered a number hero’s competition where we have to make a poster of us doing our dream job and add some maths to it like e.g My favourite job is drawing or colouring and I want to be an artist so I would have to measure how long the picture would be and how many cm it is so I know how big the canvas would be to fit the picture.In maths i enjoy when we do our chanting my targets and doing different lessons like long multiplication.This year I have learnt – and + fractions and I have learnt long multiplication.The family had spent 219.80 pound.
Today it was National Numeracy Day at Oxford Grove Primary School. At Oxford Grove we have lots of competitions however this competition was definitely my most favourite competition I have ever entered. I loved this competition because we got to draw ourselves working as our dream jobs and we also had to give some reasons on how we use numbers in our careers. I really enjoy all the learning we do. Also, if we forget how to work a question out, then we could just look at the displays Miss Lowe has set up for us.
In Maths, I have learnt long multiplication, percentages, decimals and fractions. The family could save their money so that they still have enough for the journey back. They could get the things for cheaper amounts. If the family buys all of the cheaper items then they will only have spent £ 219.80 of their £ 270 that they had. He might have said no to the T-shirt but he might have agreed to buy the children a pencil for 50 pence each. If he makes the right decisions he would actually have money to spare. It might not be a lot but he will have money leftover.
Today, it is a very special day, National Numeracy Day for all of the country! National Numeracy Day is celebrated every year on March 21st. We celebrate National Numeracy Day because it’s maths, a loved subject all over the world. I really enjoy maths because of the lessons, challenges, songs and the chanting. Maths can be a challenge if it’s your first time..but you always get better at it!

Today is a wonderful day because it’s National Numeracy day. We have entered the competition where we had to draw ourselves for our future career and what it has to do with numbers. In maths I enjoy measuring angle and finding the measurements with the protractor. This year we have learnt: angles, long multiplication and prime numbers.

Today it is National Numeracy Day and at Oxford Grove we love maths. Oxford Grove has also entered the number heroes competition where we had to draw ourselves in our career that we want to be when we are older and show how we will need money in our lives when we are older. I enjoy learning different a new skills every year in maths. I have learnt long multiplication , drawing angles , translations and equivalent fractions. The answer I got to the question is 219.80
Today, it is NND (National Numeracy Day) and our school had decided to launch a competition about National Numeracy Day. The competition was to draw the job we wanted to do when we are older but the job needed to include numbers. E.t.c: if you’re a chef you need to measure the amount of water or an amount of a liquid or an ingredient and if you’re playing a football match the score includes numbers. There are lots of more jobs that include numbers. I enjoy multiplication in maths and we have learnt long multiplication this year, we have also learnt translations, multiplying fractions and more! We still have lots to learn about maths and different subjects. We have also learnt a lot past the years but even tough we know lots of knowledge about maths we didn’t even learn half of the things about mathematics.
We had a National Numeracy Day competition so we could draw ourself doing what we wanted to do when we grew up (career) and we had to draw or tell how we could”d use numbers in our career. Maths is a very interesting subject because when you grow up you could have to pay your bills or include numbers as a doctor, teacher, swimmer or any other career. This year in Y5 we learnt translations , how to add, subtract, divide or multiply numerators that had different denominators, long division and much more.The family could buy a ticket, do a picnic, buy a car petrol, go on a steam ride and buy for pencils including the parent because that will leave them with £39. I would choose the same. I would say ‘no’ to the t-shirts because they are very expensive for a person. He could save money buy not buying things that his kids wouldn’t need and things that are essential to them. He might have a leftover because he did not buy random things he would not need.
Today is (NND) national numeracy day. Oxford Grove have decided to enter this competition where we have to write a poster. We could write that we wanted to be a chef and we would need to know how much ml (millilitres or litres) of what you’re using. You would also need to know time as if you put a cake in the Oven if it is for too long it will be burnt but if for too long it will be raw. I enjoy the challenges that we do after our lesson to see if we can acknowledge the facts in the lesson or even know the next lesson. We have learnt lots more things in year 5 such as translation and long multiplication.
My favourite part about maths is that we do number lines with subtraction and addition.We are learning about pictorgrams.
I want to be dentist so I need to know how to mend people. I need to know how many customers I have! And the amount of medicine they need!

Today is national numarcy day! I love maths and so do many others that are appart of our school. I cant wait to learn more and more as i go into year six to practice for my SAT’s . We have drawn oirself in thw career that we wanr to have when we are older. I choose a doctor because i want to follow in my mums footsteps. I have learnt all about fractions, decimals and percentages. The answers to the question was for the ticket getting the adult and the child one and they could take the bus. For fun the cpuld do all of them for a suvinear they could get a pencil each then for food they could get thw burger, juice and ice cream. Then they still have £116.20 more.
