What a start to the year! Today Rock Kidz UK came to visit Oxford Grove and had the privilege of working with our amazing children. They focused on raising the profile of well-being and PSHRE through the power of music. The Rock Kidz team transformed our school hall into a rock concert for the day, teaching our children a song called “Don’t Quit”- explaining the important message or perseverance and resilience. The children were extremely active throughout the workshops, dancing and having fun! Our teachers even took part in the head to head “Battle Time” challenges. It was a fantastic way to start the year supporting our children’s mental health and well-being, teaching them the importance of not giving up.

I had some much fun at rockskidzuk on Monday because on the morning when we were getting introduced Rebecca keep saying her name when we were supposed, and she started doing the chicken, and they play one rockkidzuk songs, they the rockkiz say no more chicken on the morning.
This rock kids was so fun because we were jumping and rocking about pretending to be rockstars.
This workshop was absolutely brilliant and was so much fun. The things I learnt was that the motivational speech inside the song ‘Don’t Quit!’ is the title. ‘Don’t Quit!’.

Today we had a spectacular workshop. ROCK KIDS CAME TO OXFORD GROVE! I really liked the fact that we did it on the first day. It was a really good treat and I would like to thank Miss Harvey for giving us this great opportunity.
I really enjoyed rock kids as it was a really fun and many people can probably agree . We listened to many songs there bands have made and in each song there was a message to stop bullying . They also told us if you are being bullied tells an adult you trust and make sure it is fixed.
It was really fun to be with rock kids. We danced and enjoyed the songs!
