As part of our Geography curriculum, we have to think about our Earth and how we can look it.
Earth Day is held every year on 22nd April. It is a day when people take part in activities to help the planet. The theme for Earth Day 2024 is ‘Planet vs. Plastics’. It asks everyone to work together to limit our use of plastics to help look after the Earth. On Earth Day, people take action to make our world a better place. This includes litter picking, planting trees and raising money for environmental charities.
We are asking our children to create a poster, sculpture, model or other type of creative product to promote how we can raise awareness about how harmful plastic can be to the environment and OUR PLANET. Take a look at some examples below:
I am very exicted for the competition because it’s about keeping the world clean. If we don’t keep the world clean then small animals and pets could get caught up in plastic or plastic bags. We have to recycle any plastic, giving money to charity and you could recycle any junk on the ground.

WOW! This will be one of the best competitions we have done. It is really important what ever is trash rubbish plastic make sure to always leave it on the bin not in the world especially glass because a lot of animals have been in danger. A lot of animals such as dogs cats have been cut by glass trash rubbish. So make sure that you have but plastic and trash in bins and protect the world.
I am very excited to view all of the entries for this competition! I can already imagine that they will look great as well as the projects in the past that people took place in….
The message of this competition is very educational and vital for our planet earth.

Today is Earth day, it is a special event every 22nd April and everyone takes part in some activities.
I can’t wait to see all the posters that people make and I like how people try and stop plastic harming animals and the ocean ! If we stop and think before we through away litter think about what could happen to animals and that you are doing a good deed because you are helping the environment. We need to help earth because earth is our planet.

In 22nd April it’s Earth Day and we need to take care of our planet where we live on. We have to recycle plastic and other things or reuse ♻️.
