OG Historian’s Project

Oxford Grove are pleased to be taking part in a local history project with Bolton Museum. We are taking part in a project called Class of 37 where we read essays written by girls in Bolton in 1937. Our job then is to rewrite our own essays and compare the similarities and differences. Then, our essays will be kept in the museums archives for 100 years when, in the future, another school will be reading our essays! We are working with real life historians Claire and Hester to complete this project 🙂

The trip was amazing. We had a really good discussion about girls in 1937 in Parks lane school.

This history trip was very informative and learnt some interesting facts about children learning at school. Thank you Miss Jarvis for this amazing trip that you took us to. Today I am doing a report about women and men food and housing. And because I went to this trip, I used my knowledge and put it in my writing
