This morning, some of our O.G Historians took the lead in informing Oxford Grove about Remembrance Day. Remembrance Day is celebrated on the 11th November every year and many people wear red poppies on their jumpers to symbolise peace. The Historians told us that Remembrance Day is a time to reflect and think about the brave men and women who lost their lives during the war. This includes men and women who were injured during the war. We held a 2 minute silence to respectfully reflect on this and think about everyone who has helped our country. Remembrance Day is a very important day because we need to reflect on the people who have fought for us in the war. We do this by holding a two minutes silence to remember them. My favourite part of Remembrance Day is to wear a red poppy badge on my jumper.
