This morning we had a fabulous musical celebration for the Queen’s Jubilee. Our brilliant music ambassadors hosted the assembly and the first people to perform were the Year 5 drummers. Mr Bamford led the drummers who did an amazing job and had everyone in the hall moving along to the rhythms. Next, we had a performance from Mr Dunkley and the Year 5 Brass players. We were all really impressed with the playing and it was lovely to hear all of them together. Finally, Mrs Hudson and the Oxford Grove Choir performed some of the songs they have been working on this year. Everyone clapped and sang along with the choir as they led us through the performance. Well done to everyone involved, what a great start to our celebrations!

While I was singing with choir I was encouraged by the audience so I kept on going. We practised very hard to perfect them. I was very nervous but the teachers and Oxford Grove helped me.
This performance was amazing and was so amazing I loved it year 5 did a great job well don year 5
The choir was amazing!
I loved all the songs especially the song HEROES ♀️.
I loved the Jubilee music concert.
This music Jubilee was THE BEST I loved all the songs and my favourite was heroes because the shoulder bit was so funny . This was the best day of my life because all the songs and we got to wear red white and blue I think a lot of people loved my t-shirt because it was the Queens corgi (foth) in a cup. I love the people with facepaints they look so good I loved the people with the United Kingdom flag facepaints though.
During today’s assembly the choir and music ambassadors preformed a large celebration of music which used the djembe drums, trumpets and even singing from the choir. During this assembly my favourite part was during heroes when we were able to dance- and even sing with the choir. As well as the assembly, everyone was dressed in blue, white and red (the Union Jack colours)to represent the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Some people even wore face designs and it was fun to see all our friends in creative outfits.
Jubilee Music Concert!
This was the best day of mine because year 5 and 6 did music in the hall so the year 5 Jamba drummers wh0 was led by Mr Beamformed who teaches every one Jamba drumming and next was Mr Dunkley who teaches playing brass and year 5 played that to and at the last it was year 6 turn and people in the choir sang songs which includes me called Heroes and strangers and it was so much fun.
The Jubilee Music Concert was the best! I have really enjoyed the year 5 drumming and brass concert, it was amazing that children in the hall had smiles on their faces! I also loved the choir concert. My favourite song that the choir sang was heroes! I have really loved how everyone put a lot of effort into the Jubilee Music Concert. I also loved how everyone clapped during this concert!

I love this ably and it was about the queen jubilee it was one of the beast day ever there was music about the queen jubilee song and it was amazing and I am so thankful for the amazing teachers that we have and all the kind people around us .The song made me smile and how hard the quieter was working on the song I hope the quieter will sing us anther song. In the next jubilee I hope we do the same things that we did this jubilee and I am so thankful .
I loved this Jubilee concert. I tried my to keep drumming and to stay on track. I loved the brass music as well and the choir did so good on all the songs, they all sounded so nice. My favourite song was strangers. Everybody also dressed up so well and some people did crazy things with there hair liked they dyed their hair different colours, put it into different styles.I cannot believe this was our last drumming lesson and it was in-front of the whole school. I also loved all the different activities and we got to take home jubilee books. It was amazing!!

The Jubilee concert was amazing! I love songs so that was one of my favourite memories of being at Oxford Grove.
Today was the best day of my life because we celebrated the Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee and we had a concert with choir which includes me! First, the choir people went into the music room and practiced the songs and then we went in the hall then we sang Strangers and Heroes and every year group watched us even reception. In our classes we learned about the Queen and her Jubilee and we wore white blue and red to represent the Queen’s Jubilee and then we wrote a letter to Queen Elizabeth and Miss Roscoe told us that we will send this letter to Buckingham Palace. After writing the letters it was time for our lunch but today was a different day for Ks2 because we were going to have a picnic outside. When we came in we made lanterns with wood pieces, first we coloured it then we put the pieces together and we made a little lantern. Lastly we went on the Astro turf and ate some tasty ice lollies that Miss Jarvis had bought for us. Thank you to Miss Harvey that she had spent so much money on us. It is really fun today and we got to wear own clothes.
I had a super fun time playing the brass instrument I also had a really fun time playing the solo notes with my friends!!
