It was really fun mixing the different types of soil with water. At the end some of the soil changed colour especially the clay soil.
I saw lots of different kinds of soil there were sandy soil, clay soil peat soil and chalky soil.
I didn’t expect the soils look like that, they were not what I expected! I thought all soil was brown.
I also learned that it was made out of dead plants dead animals and water
I really did enjoy this event. this soil lesson was amazing!!because it’s all about science and everyone in our class loves science 🧪 science is my favourite, RE is my third and my 2nd is obviously maths.
On the 10th of January 2024 we did a soil investigation to see what will happen if we put soil in water to see we waited for 5 minutes to see. The soils was peat soil, clay soil, sandy soil and chalky soil that I used.
When Mrs Bain but the soil in the water.Some parts of the dirt sunk down some didnt.
I enjoyed this experiment 🔎 because we put water 💧 mixed with the Organic Matter and waited for 5 minutes for the results some had lots of Organic Matter some had hardly any .Peat soil had most Organic Matter in it.But clay soil had hardly any Organic Matter in it.

It was really fun mixing the different soils we learned about all the different soils and we got to look at them all and we learned all the names of the soils the soils. The ones we looked at, were called peat soil ,sandy soil, organic soil, clay soil and chalky soil and we put water in them and we mixed that water and soil and left it for 5 minuets
We did a science experiment on soil it was fantastic.

When we were doing the soil test when we put the chalky in it when white then we put in sandy it went brown then we put peat it went black.
