Today, Year 6 took part in our sports assembly. We were very lucky with the weather as the rain held off and we were able to use the astro turf. We proudly showed off our skills in four different races: a sprint race, a beanbag race, an obstacle course and a dribbling race. We really enjoyed taking part in all of our races and putting our skills to the test!
Thank you to our school sporty crew for helping out and all parents who attended and helped us celebrate our success! Which race was your favourite Year 6?
I loved the sports assembly because l was really competitive with my teammates who l was racing with but l tried my best and l got first 3 times and Second which is really good the running race in my opinion was the hardest because you had to run to the cone and then run back to the cone and then run all the way to the cone it was really confusing at first but then l realised it was easy.
I really enjoyed this sports day one of the reasons beating it was our last one and best one. I came first first second second my favourite one was the running race.
This is our last sports day on the first race I did good I got 3rd place and it was really fun and on the second race I got last place but I still, tried but on the 3rd race. I got 1st! Sports day was really fun
It’s crazy knowing that this sports day is the last sports day at Oxford grove, as next year at this time we will be in year 7! This sports day was the worst one for me, as I kept on falling or my ankle started hurting but still I got 2nd and 1st. What coincidence that I got 1st, 2nd, 3rd and last place! I was in a group with the fastest people in the year, and I still managed to get 2nd on the sprinting race!
We had our sports day and since I am fast I won the running race and I loved the experience. Sometimes people get get very shy losing in front of their parents but it is okay. This was a big competition
On sports day I had a lot of fun because I got to do all the activities I loved and I got 1st place 3 times and 3rd place when we did the beanbag race average it was a lot of fun! 😀
