Today, we had a and T workshop where we created our own working fairground rides. We then had to measure and saw a piece of wood to create the bottom of the ride. We then used the drill to create 2 holes in one of our feet, the base and the turntable. During this time, we were designing our fairground rides and thinking about themes we might like to use for them. Once we had glued the feet on, it was time to transfer our design to our fairground ride. We had to line up our pulley with the hole in the turntable then added dowel and a wheel.
In the afternoon, we built our circuit using a battery clip and motor. We attached it to our fairground to enable it to spin around. The final part was to design the canopy and add it to the top.
We had a very busy day and were extremely proud of our finished products.
What was your favourite part of the day Year 6?

We made our own fairground ride! It was so fun, it took me all day and we made our own designs and we even took them home.
I had so much fun doing this I loved it my favourite part was drawing my theme my theme was game. I also loved doing it because we had used some very complex tools.
When we made the fairground ride it was hard but we still did it I found sawing a bit hard but I still did it the part I really liked was when we were hammering that was really fun when the fair ground ride was complete it looked really good.
We created our own fairground rides. We sawed bits of wood to make the bottom of the rides. Then we made two hole in the feet of the fairground rides and we designed our own theme fairground rides. After we glued the feet it was time to transfer our design to our fairground ride.

Today we made our fairground ride and it was AMAZING!To make our fairground ride we got a long wood and then we saw it after that we got sand paper to make it smoother . After that we got a big rectangular piece of wood. Then we glued our smaller wood to the bigger Wood. And we did some more stuff before it was fully made. It was the best thing of my life it was super fun.
This was our DT fairground rides topic. We have been planning this from year 5, in DT so we had two people to help us to make the fairground rides and his name was Mr Hepp. So the things we did is we cut our piece of wood in half then the second part was we had to sand our wood smooth then the third part was to plan our fairground ride so we coloured out rides on paper then we had to colour it on the wood then we assembled everything together then it was the end of the day then we brung them home. This workshop was really fun and relaxing.
Today we designed and made our very own fairground ride, we got to do some sawing, cutting and so much more! This was so fun and the best part was that we got to do this all day! We labelled using a glossary all the parts of a fairground ride like the base, the turntable, the legs, we used all of this to make our fairground ride, and of course we got to design our fairground rides using our own imagination and creativity or we could use the examples that were on the board, this took a lot of time to make, but it came amazing in the end! We then got to test our fairground rides to see if they could spin and they worked, thank you so much for this amazing workshop!
Today we did. Dt and we used a saw a hammer and a drill . We made designs of a working fair ground ride . It was very difficult . The best part was hammering. Because now I can work with my dad.
Today we made fairground rides. I enjoyed sawing the most because it was challenging and I like a challenge. This was my favourite workshop ever.
This workshop that we did was amazing i finally used a drill and designed my own base.
Today we had had a D and T workshop where we created our fairground ride. We even got a sheet where we could design. My favourite part was when we got to put everything together. We all were happy with the finished results.
Today, we had a D and T workshop where we created our own working fairground rides. We then had to measure and saw a piece of wood when we had done measuring. It was really fun when we decorated the finale design and put the motors in the place. But the best thing that day was that we found out we could take them home!
We made fairground rides which were amazing because we got to cut the wood , design our fairground rides we used different colour pencil. When we built them it was hard because all of the glue was sticking on my hands and l had to take it off but so far it was amazing l want to do more .
Today was so fun! We made fairground rides that actually worked and spun around. We added seats and a canopy. We was sketched out what are ride will look like and what colours it would be. We also used a drill, a hammer, a G clamp and a bench huck!
Today we did a workshop about DT. We made a fairground ride all by ourselves, we worked on our fairground ride for the whole day until 3:00. We used a saw to cut the wood and we also used glue to put glue on our fairground ride. Today was amazing and I am looking forward to the future.
Today we had a wonderful workshop we made fairground rides so we cut and measured wood and we used paper and put it on to keep people dry and we put seats and designs and we used a motor and a puller system to make it spin we used a 9 volt battery.
Today we did our fairground rides and we all made a Mary go round( a ride where you sit down and it spins). 1st, we had to saw the wood.
2nd, we had to sand the wood.
3rd, we drilled holes in.
And finally we glued them together.
Today we did a wooden fairground ride, we did canopy and chairs after break time we glued our legs to our fairground. We so our fairground looks like an actual put a stick and a wheel to put a rubber band round the wheel so it can turn. When it was almost done we tried to put a battery but it didn’t work so they told us what battery it was so we could buy one.
Today in DT we did a workshop creating our own fair ground rides. We did a lot of colouring and designing. We even got a sheet that we could design our fairground rides on. The part that I liked the most was drilling with safety goggles on and the sawing.
Today in this DT workshop we made our own fair grown rides we did a lot of drilling, sawing colouring and designing. We got a piece of paper to help us design our fairground rides .
Today we did d&t we made fair ground ride we did drilling and sawing and designing it and creating it turned out so good and we even got to take them home !
Today we had a fairground workshop which we made fairground rides. We first cut the wood called legs that is for the support of the fairground ride. At the top of the ride there is a pillar connecting to a canopy. When we finished building the ride all you had to do is put a 7v battery and it goes very fast.
My favourite part in making the fairground ride is making the base like drilling and sowing . It was so fun because we learnt how to make a ride that’s not from Lego and with someone whos been at several schools . I loved colouring the design and drawing the design and adding the canopy .
We made fairground rides on this day and it was actually quite fun! We had to build saw and even use a machine to build this wood as we were making a rotating piece of wood and added a canopy and seats to it. We also used 9volts batteries to make our fairground ride spin. I had so much fun and if I could do it again I would love to, although I did mess it up a little bit!

Today was a day where you really had to focus on the instructions said by the instructor so nothing goes wrong. Nearly everyone’s fairground ride was working and when we put the battery on it, the wooden plate was spinning very fast! A rubber band was attached to the motor and the wooden plate so the motor spinned causing the fairground to be working. We had to drill two holes in wood so the motor stays in place. I really enjoyed adding on the canopy and colouring it in. The finishing results looked very nice, you can see mines in the pictures. Overall, today was a pretty good long lesson, it really tested out our building skills. I really enjoyed it.
