Today Year 5 had a workshop all about Brazilian dance to link to both our PE and Geography topics. First, we learnt about some traditional Brazilian instruments and then learnt a samba dance! Next we learnt about Capoeira, a Brazilian form of dance and martial arts and we learnt a dance in partners. Then we learnt to sing a song in Portuguese. What did you learn Year 5?
Today, Year 5 had a workshop all about Brazilian dance linked to both our PE and Geography topics. First, we learnt about some traditional Brazilian instruments and then learnt a samba dance! Next, we learnt about Capoeira, a Brazilian form of dance and martial arts, and we learnt a dance in partners.
I loved this workshop it was really fun! We did so many different dances like the samba.
This was really fun! He played two instruments, and I didn’t know what they were called. Everyone did lots of dancing to Brazilian music, and one fun fact is that Brazilians use the Portuguese language.
Today we went to a Brazilian dance workshop. It was so fun because he even sang us a song in Portuguese! I loved it.
This was the most amazing workshop I have ever experienced! That day, we entered the hall where we saw a Brazilian man and he started to play authentic Brazilian music! We started to learn how to dance by looking at the man and we actually were slowly learning how to dance to the Brazilian music. He also played his own music by using some type of instrument that I’ve never seen before. It was the first time I have seen that being played! The Brazilian man also played the authentic instrument very rapidly and I was extremely impressed! We then sat down in front of him and he started to sing a song and we somehow learnt some Portuguese! This workshop was very interesting and unique because we learnt about a different country! To conclude, I hope Miss Harvey applies for another workshop like this one and I am very grateful to have such amazing opportunities!
This was so fun the guy taught us to do Brazilian dance and how to play an instrument (he was so good with it) and the dance was so cool. A song was called Capoeira and at the end we learnt to sing a song in Portuguese.
Today we went to a Brazilian dance workshop it was so good. He told us to spin in circles I got dizzy and tired. I loved it so much but we had to carry on! I also learned some Portuguese. He taught us some Brazilian songs!
This Brazilian workshop was so fun we were learning some Brazilian dancing and he even showed us some Portuguese songs and some very interesting instruments!
