As part of our new Geography topic on coasts, we visited Lytham on Thursday 11th April. Here we sketched coastal features and sorted these into human and physical features. Finally we worked as a team to protect our town from the sea by building sea defences. We had a fantastic day and were very lucky the weather improved for us.

Today we went to Lytham St Anne’s for trip. We went on the trip because in are geography lessons we have been learning about coasts. It was really fun because we made some sand castles and put rocks and other things around to protect the castles from the sea it was really fun.
At Lytham it was soo good when we got to build our own sea defences in the sand near the lake where we were building.we got to climb up tall sand dunes we had clip boards to write human features and physical features on.
I loved this trip because I saw a spitfire, a coast and a sea at a beach and it was amazing!!!
Fairhaven lake was fun. We went to the beach and made a sandcastle and protected. Then we had our dinner. After we got back to school.
When we went Lytham St Anne’s we had to sit next to the person who sits beside us in class on the coach. On the coach I was jealous because we had to sit downstairs and the other class sat upstairs. When we arrived we were greeted by some of the volunteers and told us the rules. We had to be very careful because at some point there was no barrier to protect us from falling in the water. After there were swamps on the pathway but the lady said that they don’t harm people. Then suddenly I saw a spitfire plane from WII! It was just a model. I looked to the left and I saw a bunch of ducks. We went to climb a sand dune and everyone was slipping down but I didn’t. The horizon in the distance looked so cool and I could even see ships! Even a town. We had to make sea defences and my group made the best. Then it was dinner. I had my sandwich and talked then I had my chocolate bar and after that we had to go school. Overall this trip was the best and I am so lucky to go on these trips.
The trip was brilliant because we learnt but we had fun as well we made our own defenders from the coast so it will not blow it away mrs Bain liked my teams the best .we used sticks, shells , shovels and our cups !
When we went up the sand dune it was easy but it was hard because it was slippery
..
I loved the nature all around lytham. There was so many ducks and geese they were swimming in the water in the beach this is one of my favourite place in the world. After that we climbed a sandy hill, also it was so hard to climb because there was so much sand it felt like there the sand was stopping us from climbing the hill, then we went to make some sand castles and we looked to see who was the best
What a fun trip you had 3B! I am sure you had lots of fun and enjoyed learning more about coasts for your Geography lessons.
Wow, I remember this trip! Hope you enjoyed it!
I absolutely hate sand but l still loved the trip
It was so hard climbing the big sandy hill, we saw lots of nature in our trip to the beach.
