Geography VR Workshop

Today, we took part in a workshop where we were able to travel all around the world visiting lots of biomes. The first biome we visited was the tundra where we saw lots of open space covered in snow and ice. If we looked up, we could see the Northern Lights in the sky. The next experience brought an arctic fox towards us; we saw how its characteristics made it perfect for the conditions within the tundra biome.

The next biome we visited was the desert where everything looked very dry and hot. It was in Southern Africa. We then visited another desert but this was a polar desert where we could see penguins.

Off we then went to a hotter but wetter biome – a tropical rainforest. We were swarmed by ants carrying leaves and tall trees that towered over us! A jaguar then came out of nowhere prowling around looking for its prey on the understory layer!

We visited the marine biome where we saw lots of fish and sea creatures swimming around.
Finally, we visited the savannah grassland biome where we saw a pride of lions exploring their natural habitat and one came so close to us we could almost touch it!!

Which biome did you enjoy visiting the most?

Today, we took part in a workshop where we were able to look at loads of biomes and in a desert biome it was completely empty except for the dead trees we were on a drone flying about the desert going 50mph . I. A rainforest a jaguar came up so close to me i almost jumped out my seat! And in the Antartica we saw lots of penguins and even one of them had dirt on them it was 🤣😂. In the grassland biome a lion and a tiger came so close it was super, super scary 😭. And in another one we were un the artic and we saw artic foxes they tried to bite me. At the end of every biome the women that brought the virtual reality headsets asked us a question about the biome and how it was like and in the Antartica there was an aurora (Northern lights).

Today we did our VR workshop. It is a was amazing. This VR workshop was based on our geography. About the different types of biomes. For example we did the Tundra and the Taiga. First we did the tundra it was vey cool we also saw the northern lights . The we did the taiga biome it was so cool we saw an artic fox in the VR it was so cute. We had to be careful to put the VR down or we had to pay for the damage. Then we did another biome that was under the sea . We saw all the different types of fishes. The we saw the dessert . To be honest it look like we were in Egypt because it was very hot and has dried trees and sand all over the floor. Then we looked at the rainforest first we saw the rainforest and we saw ants it was disgusting I was so scared . But then we saw a LION I called it mufasa .
