Today Year 5 went on our Bring yer Wellies trip. We started the day by taking on the sandcastle challenge! As a class we had to work together to build as many sandcastles as we could. Next, we learnt about scale and applied it to the size of the green house. After that, we learnt about map projections and thematic maps and applied our skills to a map reading challenge! Next, we practiced our grid reference skills from our Geography lessons and took part in a globe challenge to test our skills! What did you learn Year 5?
We all loved the trip my personal favourite was when we could make almost 400 sand castles in one pit of sand it must be really deep and we might have gotten our knees dirty but it was still very fun.
