Today Year 5 had a VR workshop based on our Geography topic of North America! We used the headsets for our first visit, Alaska which is the largest state in the U.S.A. We could see the snowy landscapes, the Northern Lights and we even saw a Moose. After that, we visited the East coast to New York where we had a view of the skyline at night time then we saw some of the human features like Central Park, skyscrapers such as Rockefeller Centre and the Empire State Building and reservoirs.
After that, we travelled to the West coast! We started in California where we could see the Pacific Ocean, the Golden Gate Bridge and islands. Then, we went to Nevada where we could see the Hoover Dam that controls the water and generates hydropower.
Which one was your favourite Year 5?

I really enjoyed seeing North America in this workshop, but my favourite one was the bonus one because I loved how the tiger that was in it started sniffing us.
Today we have been doing a primeVR workshop and I really enjoyed it. We were first looking at Alaska then New York and last we looked at lions.
Today we did the VR workshop it was so much fun we leaned all about the different parts of North America we even saw animals like lions and tiger and we even saw different types of mouses and the looked like rain dears.
This workshop is so far my favourite part of this year because we got to see helicopters, lions, New York, polar bears and lots more. My favourite on e was probably the one where there was two lions and they start to sniff you and the one where you could see a helicopter.
Today it was are VR workshop based on are Geography topic of North America! It was so much fun! I felt amazed! It was so fantastic I wish I could have taken it home with me instead of leaving it there.
I have really enjoyed the VR workshop because we saw some really cute and fascinating stuff like polar bears and a beautiful bridge. It was super cool because everything was zoomed in. It was a bit scary at first but after it was really fun. If someone was scared they would have an iPad to look at instead.
I loved the VR session because we saw so much stuff like a bridge and lions. We were going to see space but we all had to vote for it the options were lions and gorillas and also space. When everyone heard the word ‘lions’ they but their hand up in an instant but everything else was going amazingly. We all voted for lions expect some people they voted for space and gorillas for some reason but I love animals so I voted for lions and I am glad it was the lions.
This VR workshop was very very exiting first we were in a helicopter flying over New York town square there were a lot of lights. Then we were on top of the Golden Gate Bridge, there was a little island and apparently the VR guide told us on the island there used to be lots of deadly prisoners on that island. We were on top of Central Park it was very big to the left there were lots of tall building including the Empire State Building and the trump tower below us there was about three big lakes including the Hudson Bay.
Today was one of the best days EVER! We got to do PE and the VR workshop. In the workshop we had themes like exploring Alaska and L.A (Los Angelous). Some of them were really great! Some of the stuff we did where: Alaska (snowy and lots of moose’s), Los Angelous (known as the brightest place on earth!) and finally we had some bonus games like the lion which was the one which we did and it was really fun, second was the space-I wanted to do it but people voted for the lion, and finally the gorilla one! We did the gorilla VR last year. I hope we do this in Y6, Thank you Miss Harvey!
Today we had a wonderful workshop it was a VR workshop.Did you that we went to the topic of North America!we saw loins,New York, polar bears and lost more!!!!!
Did you know that we learnt lots of new things about places like New York and North America?
I enjoyed this workshop because we had a look at lots of different things such as: polar bears, mouse and even rain deers. It was really good because if we didn’t want to wear the headsets we had an iPad and could watch it on that and we could also zoom in and there were lots of different things we saw!
I have really enjoyed this VR workshop because we saw some beautiful stuff like the Golden Gate Bridge and we also saw some lions on the VR at the end!
