This week, we have been celebrating Safer Internet Day! Our Digital Leaders led activities in their classes on the topic of artificial intelligence (AI) and how we need to use this safely and responsibly. Our KS1 classes took part in a live lesson from Tech We Can, where we enjoyed lots of interactive activities and learned a lot about AI. Our KS2 classes completed quizzes from the UK Safer Internet Centre where we were able to discuss different AI scenarios and how we should act in each one.
The focus of the day is ‘Smart tech, safe choices – Exploring the safe and responsible use of AI’. We know that AI can often get things wrong, and we need to be very sceptical about what we see and read online.
After the activities, Digital Leaders led discussions in their classes on how we can keep ourselves safe when using AI.
