Over the last few weeks, we have been reading ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ as one of our traditional tales this half term. We have enjoyed applying our reading skills to read the story in our groups. We have also used the story as inspiration for some of our writing.
Aizah wrote sentences to describe the settings of Jack’s cottage and the Giant’s castle.
Zabihullah and Anam retold the story.

Esa wrote the start of the story in detail, and Chime wrote the end.

I am so proud of all of your hard work, Year 1 – your writing is absolutely amazing! You are all working so hard to improve your handwriting as well, and your books look fantastic – well done everyone!

Jack got beans from a old man.
Jack had to sell the cow for money.
