Today we were so excited for our first proper trip in Year 1! We visited Bolton Museum to learn about childhood in the past.

We compared different objects from over 100 years ago and from now. We enjoyed sorting them into hoops and realised some objects are actually from the past and still exist now, like teddies and marbles. We also sang nursery rhymes from over 100 years ago and realised that we sing the same songs now!

We also enjoyed working in teams to do some research around the museum. We found out lots of what materials different toys were made from in the past.

Finally we really enjoyed learning how to play with the toys from over 100 years ago!
