Today we have worked with Lyndsey from Smoothwall again on supporting online safety! She worked with KS2 families in the morning and KS1 families in the afternoon. She also led workshops for Year 1-Year 6 across the school.
After school, the Digital Leaders had a special workshop with Lyndsey, looking at online safety scenarios. We made posters to explain what we should do and to help us to give advice to our friends.
Today, Lindley from smoothwall has showed us how to stay safe online. smoothwall is a digital safety platform for schools, providing web filtering, monitoring, and safeguarding tools to protect students from online risks like harmful content and AI-driven scams, helping educational institutions meet statutory guidance by blocking inappropriate material, managing social media, and flagging potential dangers for human review, thus balancing open access with security. We looked at many scenarios and worked out how to solve them.
