Author, rapper and singer song writer Alex Wharton visited Year 3 this afternoon! We started with looking at rhythm, clapping along with the harmonica! Next we all read a poem out together! Before we read we had to warm up our vocal cords, we had so much fun doing this! We really enjoyed reading the poem Jellybean, we had to use lots of expression and a clear voice. We used our roach skills to make sure we read at a good pace. We also had to listen to Alex and echo his expression and volume. After this, we drew pictures for four poems. This was amazing as we listened to music whilst Alex read the poems to us. Finally, we created our very own poems!
