This week we have been focusing on number and place value. Working with our partners, we explored number lines and practised counting both forwards and backwards.
We discovered that:
- When we count forwards, the numbers get bigger.
- When we count backwards, the numbers get smaller.
We also had fun finding and recognising different numbers within 10 and beyond, and practised working out 1 more and 1 less than a given number.
Year 1 worked really hard with their partners and enjoyed challenging themselves with their number skills!
Rayan has enjoyed practising counting at home. He enthusiastically shared stories about learning with his friends at school. We are very proud of his rapid progress and appreciate his teacher’s dedication to making learning fun. Thank you for your continued support.
Inayah is really enjoying doing maths.. she is able to do 2’s till 50. We are really pleased by her progress and appreciate help and support she gets from her teachers.. super proud
