Science in 5K!

Our new Science topic this term is all about lifecycles! In our first lesson, we started recapping what a living thing is and what the seven processes are that are common to all living things. We remember the seven processes by using MRS GREN. Can you remember the seven processes?

We then moved onto looking at how we classify animals in our next lesson. Can you remember the names of the groups?

Next lesson, we will be looking at the lifecycles of the different animals and comparing them identifying the similarities and differences.

It is a very fantastic thing we have animals it makes feel happy and loved there are many species in the world and some of them are nice and some of them are. In Miss Kings class we have learned about the life cycle and amphibians , reptiles , insects and Mamals .

I found learning about the lifecycles interesting. I think lifecycles are important to life because if something goes wrong e.g. doesn’t have a seedling, the animal or plant might become extinct, like the Dodo bird. I never thought some animals have a lot of stages before becoming an adult!

  6. Karima says:

This lesson was really interesting because I got to learn about animals and their habits of growing! It is amazing how things can be in a cycle!

  7. Harvey says:

I enjoyed the insect life cycle because we learnt that the caterpillar goes into a cocoon [pupa] then changes into a butterfly.

  8. Daniel says:

I really enjoyed learning about animal life cycles [butterfly, grasshopper, frog ]. I learned about something I didn’t know about before and it really helped learn about animals because I didn’t know a lot about animals before.

I loved learning about the life cycle it’s like a person going from a baby to a child to a teenager to a adult we had to draw an animal and draw its life cycle

  17. 0272013fd says:

I loved learning about the lifecycle of living things. I didn’t know how many stages an animal had to do. If an animal doesn’t have a seedling (offspring) that that species of animal would become extinct!
