Family Learning

In April, we began hosting Maths Family Learning workshops. These workshops were for parents of children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, and were held every Monday between 9am and 12pm.

As part of the workshops, parents were helped to create resources to use with their children to support their learning at home. The children also joined the sessions for part of the time to learn with their parents!

Thank you to all our attendees for your support. The workshops have finished for the Summer, but will return in September. More information will be sent out about our next workshops, focusing on reading and writing, before the end of the year.

What a great way to help parents that might struggle with helping their children with their homework.

Its great to see that so many other parents take the time to sit with their children while they do their homework, its not just the teachers that teach our children, it is our responsibility to play an active part in our childrens’ learning and future.
